About Your Trainer
Born in Exeter in 1979, Simon Lovell grew up as an overweight, bullied teen, who started his working career in Burger King. After hitting 16 and with a passion for writing and creativity, Simon started work on video games magazines. As his weight grew and his confidence dropped, Simon decided to switch careers in 2004 and became a personal trainer with Fitness First. He became a national health expert to the company.
Simon soon became attractive to the national media. He has been expert to London’s ‘Sport’ Magazine since the early days. Simon is also on call to the national media for his expert opinions and writing and has been featured in ‘The Daily Telegraph’, ‘The Sun’, ‘Talk Sport Radio’ and ‘BBC News’ to name a few.
In 2007, a little bit by accident, Simon developed ‘The Lunch Box Diet’ which began as an internet ebook on his previous web site, and was picked up by the national media, notably ‘Elle’ who called it ‘the best diet’ and gave it a perfect 5/5 star review. For an Internet ebook, this was a first in such a high profile publication.
Following the success of his ebook, Simon was approached by five of the top book publishers in the UK to buy ‘The Lunch Box Diet’ and in January 2009, publishing giant Harper Collins released ‘The Lunch Box Diet’ to the masses. With top reviews in the national media, ‘The Lunch Box Diet’ is still one of Simon’s proudest achievements.
Now Simon is moving forward his career. As well as continuing to provide help to his huge subscriber base of fans, and personal training, Simon is a TV presenter for ‘Slimming & Fitness’ on Sky.
Now Simon is owner of New Body Bootcamp, Exeter’s premier fitness solution with guaranteed results and fun, fun, fun.
